Celebi continues to implement the latest technological improvements.
ISTANBUL – With the launch of Celebi Aviation Academy in 2018 we have reinvigorated our corporate commitment to leadership in employee skill development and training. As part of this renewed focus on learning, we have implemented multiple improvements and enhancements in both the content and the delivery of our training programs. One element of this recent improvement that we would like to share is, our Virtual Realty implementation which is the first ground handling VR training module in Turkey. Within the simulated environment that we create in the training module, all of our co-workers will learn and practice the activities on virtually real aircraft and apron. Unlike traditional learning experiences, each Virtual Reality training module will place the user inside the experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, or imagining something in the classroom, users are immersed and able to interact with operation itself. Standardization at Learning Experience In addition to an improve learning experience, VR tools will enable both safety and quality to be dramatically improved and maintained since training outcomes will be standardized. Moreover, a variety of scenarios can be simulated which can broaden the learning experience in ways, such as emergency situations, night operations, etc. which could be difficult to replicate in a real-life training setting on the apron. Based on the initial feedback from this VR module, Celebi is scheduling the rollout of the module across its network. According to Aviation Holding CEO, Mr. Dave Dorner “We continue to pursue our commitment to be an innovator in the aviation sector and invest in our people. VR is one example of how technology can be harnessed to provide a more effective and safer training environment to our valuable co-workers.”
